We have a diverse and talented consultant team working on the Meadows Mile Professional Centre; it's about time you meet them! Introducing our Architectural Team: David Lachapelle Architects Ltd., supported by Riddell Kurczaba.

We've been talking about David Lachapelle Architects Ltd. since our first blog but we've never properly introduced them! David Lachapelle Architects Ltd. is our primary architectural consultant on the Meadows Mile Professional Building project. DLA is an architectural firm out of Calgary, AB. They've worked on successful projects across Alberta, and even so far as Algeria!

Riddell Kurczaba Architectural Engineering has come on board as well to supplement the drawing team. Riddell Kurczaba is a prolific firm with diverse experience. Together with DLA, we know we're in good hands.

We're proud of the group we've assembled, and over the next little while we'll continue introducing our remaining Consultant Team.

Additional Renderings Release | Meadows Mile Professional Centre

We're getting closer to a final rendering!

Andrew Martschenko, our designer, has been hard at work getting these new colour renderings to us. We can now share a few of them with you; a "teaser", if you will.

The first photo shows the initial floor plan of the first floor. The second photo shows the West facing entrance. The third, the Northeast corner of the building.

Now that we have colour renderings, we can share a few of our material ideas. We've chosen brick as our primary material: A throwback to the brick buildings of the early 1900's (Think the Old Y.W.C.A [1909] or the North-West Travellers Building [1912]). Also, notice the black metal beam detailing. This gives it the industrial, contemporary edge. The high volume of glass will bring in tons of natural light on all floors, as well as reveal spectacular 
views of the surrounding vistas. 

Our architect, David Lachapelle, will be working with these design renderings over the next few days to pull together a set of development permit drawings. Soon, we'll have all the information we need to move forward with building permits!

Preliminary Renderings Release | Meadows Mile Professional Centre

We're excited to unveil our preliminary architectural renderings of the Meadows Mile Professional Centre with you today. The Professional Centre is a commercial property that will host Medical and Business Professionals. Here are the sketches of the development that we can share with you at this time:

Preliminary Renderings of the Meadows Mile Professional Centre

This week we've invited Andrew Martschenko from Toronto to join our team as Architectural Designer. David Lachapelle (DLA Architecture) and Jaydean Boldt (Focus Equities) have been hard at work these past weeks, collaborating with our team to draw up renderings of the upcoming Professional Centre. Andrew joined us Monday and is throwing some stunning design inspiration into the mix. 

Above we have the West Facing Elevation rendering, including the main entrance with a cantilevered canopy and rooftop pillar detailing. To the right we have the South Facing Elevation. These designs marry the vertical composition of the historical sandstone buildings you can find in Calgary's downtown core, with warehouse-inspired glazing and modern steel detailing. 

The CDC Team is thrilled with Andrew's work, and we look forward to sharing further developments on the project as they come in the next weeks. 

The development will be located at 85th ave SE and Blackfoot trail, across from Deerfoot Meadows.
