Structural Engineer Consultants Announcement | Meadows Mile Professional Centre

Continuing our introduction of our excellent consultant team working on the Meadows Mile Professional Centre: Introducing our Structural Engineer: Bryan Roney of Tomecek Roney Little & Associates Ltd.

Bryan is a Principal and Senior Project Manager for TRL & Associates Ltd. He has over 23 years of experience in his field and leads the business development team at TRL & Associates. TRL & Associates have worked on many large-scale developments including, but not limited to, high-rise, hospitality, and commercial. They are even responsible for the structure of recreational facilities like Westside Recreation Centre and Chinook Cinemas. Their website details their Commercial/Office Design Philosophy as follows:
"The design and detailing of commercial structures has become increasingly more challenging to achieve the open spaces and flexibility required of today's demanding market. The structural design must not only rise to meet these challenges, but must achieve it in combination of producing a cost effective design within the confines of the product budget. The development of innovative, cost effective solutions to incorporate long structural spans, enhanced structural performance, and integrated functional requirements has become common place in today's designs of commercial space. Optimization of the structural design in terms of performance and economics is of paramount importance to the project. Design optimization would include material minimization, consideration of local trade and transportation capabilities and local construction techniques."

We are thrilled to have Bryan Roney and TRL & Associates as part of the Meadows Mile Professional Centre team.

Starbucks Rendering | Meadows Mile Professional Centre

You may have noticed in a recent post on the Meadows Mile Professional Buildingor perhaps on our new website, that one of our many selling features is the inclusion of an on-site Starbucks. We're thrilled to have Starbucks as a confirmed anchor tenant for Lot 1 on Meadows Mile. We've been working with our designer Andrew Martschenko, of Parataxis, and Jaydean Boldt, of Focus Equities, to design a building that pairs nicely with our Professional Building. Our most current rendering of the Starbucks should give you an idea of the direction we're going in.

The building features the same vertical composition and Edwardian Classical nods, while still maintaining the sleek modern qualities of a contemporary building, and enough glass to show off the stunning views of the site. All that paired with the iconic Starbucks branding, and we've got ourselves a solid on-site cafe (complete with drive-through window on the far side). Professional Centre tenants, as well as there clientele, will appreciate having a recognizable and convenient vendor on the lot.

Thanks to A.I.K.Visual Concepts for animating Andrew Martschenko's designs, we can now get a better idea of what our development will look like.

This animation cycles from a sketch, to a rendering, and finally into a photo-realistic rendering. Take a look! Seeing what our development will look like when it's built, before we've even broken ground, is very exciting.
